On Sunday 12th June the CT Upton (ex Trueman) arrived at Eastham from SMS Towage in Newport. The latest addition to the fleet is Carmet’s first ASD Tug and is also the most powerful of our vessels with a bollard pull of 35t.
The Workboat Coded harbour tug will be a great addition to support our ongoing port services in the Mersey area. After the arrival on Sunday there was no time to be wasted and, on Monday and Tuesday, the tug completed two jobs assisting the CT Oxton with the towage of the Haven Searsier 1 and barge Lastdrager 35.
We look forward to seeing the vessel in our own fleet colours!
