The company’s Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management and Quality Management Systems have recently undergone a complete overhaul. We are constantly looking to innovate and improve, listening to all (team, clients and contractors) whilst finding new ways of making our systems more efficient.
Annual KPIs are set to realistic SMART targets and are continuously monitored for compliance, our aim being to go beyond simple compliance on a daily basis. These programmes are documented within our annual Improvement Plan and are available for review when appropriate.
Health and safety
The established policy of Carmet is to provide its customers with a first class service delivered whilst meeting all of the customer’s requirements. The company aim to deliver services in a cost effective manner whilst maximising customer satisfaction.
The company’s Integrated Management System is reviewed regularly to ensure clear guidelines controlling risks involved. Internal and external audits are to ensure health and safety is managed the way the company claims.

Supporting local projects early in 2021
It was an early start to the year for Carmet supporting local projects. The first big project came in January supporting Ravestein BV who were the main contractors for the installation of the new outer lock gate for the Queen Elizabeth II Dock at Eastham.
